Park Facilities

  • Spruce Hill Park is north of Alexandria near Miltona (from Alexandria, take Highway 29 to County Road 5 and go east about five miles). It has picnic tables and shelters, charcoal grills, electricity, restrooms, drinking water, a softball field and hiking trails.
  • Lake Carlos State Park is located near Carlos.  (320) 852-7200. Take State Highway 29 north from Alexandria and turn west on County Road 38 at the sign for the park. The park features picnic tables and shelters, a swimming beach, campsites, restrooms with showers, amphitheater, and interpretive center as well as an equestrian area.
  • Inspiration Peak is a State Wayside Park, situated 15 miles to the southeast, on the shore of the park's namesake. In the southern part of Otter Tail County is a collection of glacial features known as the Leaf Hills.
